About

Upstairs by Tom Shepherd is a new, contemporary British fine dining restaurant which is located in the beautiful and traditional city of Lichfield. The stunning restaurant sits above Tom's father’s jewellery shop; City Jewellers, boasting a beautiful apex style ceiling and open kitchen, which is the perfect setting for any occasion.

The Chef

Tom & his team create flavour led, produce driven menus inspired by the seasons and surroundings. Born in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham and trained at New Hall Hotel in Walmley, he was most recently Head Chef of 1 Michelin Star Adams in Birmingham and won an Acorn Award in 2018. He also worked at Restaurant Sat Bains as Development Chef - a 2 Michelin Star Restaurant in Nottingham, as well as Sous Chef to Michael Wignall at The Latymer - a 2 Michelin Star Restaurant in Bagshot, Surrey.

The Food

The 24 cover dining room serves a 7 Course Tasting Menu, a 3 Course Lunch Menu and a traditional 3 Course Sunday Lunch Menu. The Kitchen Table is located directly in the kitchen, which is available for up to 4 guests who will get to enjoy a unique hands on experience watching the brigade create, cook and serve their dishes.
