After the success of last year, our popular Halloween Fun at the Farm event is back.
This year families will have the chance to explore the spooktacular traditions that people in medieval and Tudor England took part in to keep the spirits at bay, with fun-hands on activities at Mary Arden's Farm.
Join us in Palmer’s Farmhouse and learn about Tudor superstitions and compare them with the Halloween traditions of today.
With your new knowledge, it is time to get hands on to keep those mischievous spirits at bay. Craft your very own protection charm to ward off unwanted sprites and have a go at concocting your very own potion, using herbs and flowers from our Tudor garden.
Then with the hurly-burly of the crafting all done you can take part in an interactive retelling of one of Shakespeare’s most spooky tales, Macbeth. Will you be a witch or a warrior?
Finally, pick out your pumpkin and get creative carving your own frighteningly-good design!
