About

Day Boat hire for parties of up to 12 people. Full training and fuel costs included. Your boat includes a small kitchenette and toilet and all the facilities to enjoy a perfect day out navigating England's waterways through the heart of Leicestershire from Market Harborough up to Foxton Locks.


Your boat is fully equipped with the following:

  • Small kitchenette with running water and eco-friendly washing up liquid and teatowel
  • A small gas hob and kettle
  • Cooking implements
  • Can and bottle opener
  • Large plug-in cool box
  • Picnicware, cutlery, glasses
  • Seating for up to 12
  • Toilet with toilet paper, soap and a towel
  • Roll-up side panels to enjoy the outdoors in fine weather
  • Safety and boat handling equipment

You will need to bring:

  • All food and drink (but please be mindful that the designated driver MUST remain sober)
  • Hats, suncream, raincoats etc
  • Non-slip shoes or trainers

Your route:

Your route from Union Wharf at Market Harborough canal basin will take you through the peaceful Leicestershire landscape. After your training, you will set off at around 10:00am, through a swing bridge and a further foot bridge, into the basin at the bottom of Foxton Locks.

Here you can enjoy a drink or some lunch at a canalside pub, before turning round by 2:00pm and heading back to Union Wharf.

You will disembark by 5:00pm – with lots of memories to share.

 

Additional Information:

  • By their nature, narrowboats provide accessibility issues for those unable to climb stairs.
  • Groups: min pax 2, max pax 12
