Balti Triangle

Welcome to the home of the balti. Birmingham’s brilliant Balti Triangle. In a city not short of award-winning Asian restaurants (like the irresistible Itihaas and Lasan - both UK Curry Award winners) the Balti Triangle still stands out as the ‘don’t miss’ experience. Just ask Rough Guide. It’s number 15 in their must-do list for the whole of the UK. It’s that yummy.

This is the home of the dish. The origin. The heartland. The centre of all things balti. The unmissable Balti Triangle. With some 50 balti houses condensed around Sparkbrook, Balsall Heath and Moseley, you’re never more than a few feet from a treat.

All about fun and flavour, forget your knives and your forks. Just mop up that sauce with a fist-full of nan bread. And often with your own wine to wash it down (as few local restaurants are licensed). But don’t ask for recipes. They’re jealously guarded (told only to those who go the whole hog with the full Balti Break experience).

Birmingham is clearly the curry capital of the nation. Whether in the city centre or moving out into the legendry Triangle itself, here’s just a few of the names to spice up an evening.
