Birmingham Book Festival, 4 - 13 October 2012
Celebrating the city's literature scene, the Birmingham Book Festival
4 - 13 October 2012 returns with its trademark mix of literature events, talks and workshops
Now in its 14th year, the festival was originally set up to encourage Birmingham to engage with words - written, read or otherwise. It is a great opportunity to take part in events which connect words with other art forms with the aim to make Birmingham a reading, writing and thinking city.
The organisers are currently planning the next festival and as the year goes on they will be announcing what you can expect this year. The all night writing experience will return, and they are talking to some wonderful writers which they hope to welcome to the city in the Autumn. There will be creative writing workshops during the day, along with another Fringe festival and Bookshop.
