Housed in a spectacular Victorian Building, Birmingham Museum and
Art Gallery
(BMAG) has the largest collection of Pre-Raphaelites in the world as well as collections of silver, sculpture, ceramics and ancient and social history. 

BMAG is part of a remarkable extended family.  In other parts of the city are six more museums, showcasing everything from the city’s thriving jewellery heritage to its stately Jacobean past.  These include Aston Hall, Blakesley Hall, Sarehole Mill, Museum of the Jewellery Quarter, Soho House and Weoley Castle remains, information about all the aforementioned community museums can be found on our heritage attraction section.

Museum Collections Centre

The Museums Collections Centre in Nechells has brought together 80 per cent of Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery’s stored collections under one roof.

Bmag Collections MuseumThe 1.5 hectare site, close to Duddeston Station, holds hundreds of thousands of objects. Among the collections are steam engines, sculptures, an entire collection of Austin, Rover and MG motor cars, a red phone box and even a Sinclair C5!
