Join our Conservation Ranger, Sila, for monthly Family Explorers events at the Gardens! Every month, Sila will guide you on a new journey, offering opportunities to connect with nature, learn fascinating facts, and make unforgettable memories with your loved ones. From botanical gems to curious creatures, there's so much to uncover in our Gardens - what will you find?

🪲Get ready - we're going on a Bug Hunt!

You'll be guided by Conservation Ranger, Sila, through the woodland areas of the Gardens to discover the fascinating world of bugs! From woodlice and millipedes hiding under logs to beetles and spiders nestled in cracks of tree bark, and bees and butterflies feasting on nectar-rich flowers, there's a whole ecosystem waiting to be explored!

Date: May 19th
Sessions: 11am - 12pm or 1:30pm - 2:30pm

Location: Meet on the Terrace.

Tickets: Participating children are required to purchase general admission tickets and the Family Explorers: Bug Hunt ticket (£3). Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event. General admission tickets are required for adults, but accompanying adults are not required to purchase workshop tickets.

Accessibility: This workshop is accessible via wheelchair. Please speak to a member of staff before booking to discuss any access requirements.

Weather: This event will go ahead in all but heavy persistent rain, or extreme and dangerous weather. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing to explore outdoors - and prepare to get a little messy!

Activities are suggested for children aged 4 – 10 years but will offer enjoyment and interest for all ages.

This workshop is part of The Gardens Family Explorers programme.

Must be purchased along side general entry ticket to The Gardens.
